MATHCOUNTS and AMC 8. Pre-algebra helps; no contest experience required. • 12 weeks, one evening, 60–75 min • Grades 6–8
From paragraphs to high-school essays. Weekly comments on every draft. • 12 weeks, 60 min, Tuesday or Thursday • Min 10, cap 14 so the instructor can mark every paper • Spring analytical writing sold separately

SHMS Back to School Night is Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Families follow a shortened version of their student's schedule and meet teachers in person. More school details to follow from SHMS. Stop by the SHMS PTO table to learn about memberships, the new Member Portal and website, enrichment programs, the Cove Digital Card, and official SHMS spirit wear. Food truck: to be confirmed. Lagoon and Tide members get free refreshments at all SHMS PTO events (when refreshments are offered).
Best Runners USA · 14th Annual Run for Charity — 1K & 5K run/walk for families. Use school / referral code SHMS when you register so 100% of registration fees come back to Stone Hill (bonus funding available based on participation). Best Runners handles race day; SHMS PTO shares the invite with our community. Early bird through Aug 15: Adults $25 · Kids $15. After Aug 15: Adults $30 · Kids $20.
