President
Last year I was Treasurer and it was very fulfilling to help the school while improving the student experience for our events and programs. I am passionate about helping everyone get to the next level in life. This year I want to focus on making sure every parent knows about the PTO events and programs. I want the member portal to truly be helpful to parents when managing everything PTO offers their family.
Secretary
I joined the PTO because I wanted to give back to our school community and help create a positive experience for our students, teachers, and families. I'm passionate about supporting the school through strong communication, organization, and teamwork. As Secretary, I hope to keep our meetings and communications organized while supporting the board in making this a successful and engaging year. I'm looking forward to working with everyone to help plan meaningful events and strengthen the connection between families and the school.

Staff appreciation, classroom supply support, wellness events, and morale treats — partners with Events.
Cove Coordinator
I wanted to join the PTO so I could be more involved in my daughter's school and give back to our community. I'm excited to help bring more fun and exciting items to the store and make the Cove a place students enjoy stopping by. I'm looking forward to getting involved, meeting more families, and helping make a positive impact at the school!
Board positions are open to any SHMS PTO parent or guardian. Time commitments vary by role. Most require 2 to 5 hours per month. No prior PTO experience needed.
Treasurer
I joined the PTO to support our wonderful school community and ensure our families feel connected and engaged. Middle school is such an important milestone in our children's lives, and my goal is to help foster an uplifting, positive environment that provides enriching and memorable experiences for every student. My primary goal is to ensure strong financial stewardship by maintaining a balanced, transparent budget. I look forward to working collaboratively with the board and our school leadership to direct our funds toward meaningful programs, valuable student opportunities, and thoughtful appreciation initiatives for our dedicated teachers and staff.
VP Membership Experience
6th-grade AP liaison. Onboards members, promotes upgrades, hosts Middle School 101 meetups, tracks roster/renewals, and partners with Marketing on free→paid campaigns.
VP Events
I joined the PTO because I wanted to be more involved in the school community and support our students, teachers, and families. I enjoy meeting other parents, working together, and helping make school a fun, positive experience for the kids. I’m excited to help plan fun, memorable events that bring our students, families, and school community together. I’d love to bring in some new ideas, make our events enjoyable for everyone, and get more families involved. Most importantly, I want the kids to have a great year and make great memories along the way.
VP Marketing
Owns website messaging, newsletters, social, flyers/video, photo privacy, surveys, and cross-board promo collaboration.
VP Fundraising & Programs
Corporate sponsors, spirit nights, and grants. Owns enrichment programs and NOVA Math / hosted tournament opportunities with Membership.
VP Digital & Retail Sales
Owns all sales from Cove spirit wear & merch, inventory/vendors, pop-ups, and the online storefront. Manages Coordinator and Volunteers: Priya, Joanna, Shlomit.
Events Coordinator
Supports the VP of Events with event logistics, staff appreciation, school-led event support, and micro-volunteering (about 2–4 hours/month).
Initiatives Coordinator
Supports the VP of Initiatives with enrichment and academic event logistics, tournaments, and program materials (about 2–4 hours/month).
MSAAC Liaison
Middle School Advisory / MSAAC liaison for SHMS families.
LEAF Liaison
LEAF liaison for Stone Hill families.
SEAC
Special Education Advisory Committee liaison — position open. Partner with families and school leadership on accessibility and inclusion.
